Overview:
We’re looking for a founding Chief of Staff at Infinite Machine. This person will work closely with the CEO and executive team to build an operational foundation for our business. They will be our operational “glue”, managing cross-functional projects, streamlining product operations, and support key initiatives.
This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, can think big and small picture, is a master problem-solver, and can handle everything from putting out fires to researching new areas to fuel our growth. This person will be a critical force in helping us execute on our mission to build the best personal electric vehicles in the world.
Responsibilities
- Operational Glue: Ensure seamless execution across all company functions, including product development, engineering, marketing, and operations.
- Project Management: Own and drive strategic cross-functional projects, ensuring deadlines are met, resources are aligned, and teams are in sync.
- Product & Technology Operations: Work directly with product and engineering teams to streamline operations, eliminate bottlenecks, and ensure smooth product launches.
- Problem-Solving & Firefighting: Tackle unexpected challenges with urgency, resolve operational issues, and keep the team focused on key objectives.
- Research & Strategy: Conduct in-depth research into new markets, product lines, and operational improvements. Present insights and recommendations to the executive team.
- Scaling Infrastructure: Help build and optimize the internal systems and processes needed to scale the business efficiently.
- Executive Support: Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and co-founders, helping prioritize key initiatives, managing executive tasks, and facilitating communication across teams.
- Tracking & Metrics: Monitor and report on company performance, ensuring accountability and alignment with company objectives.
- Alignment & Communication: Drive alignment across leadership on key business goals, ensuring everyone is informed and moving in the same direction.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in an operational, project management, or leadership role in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in hardware or product-focused companies, especially in vehicles, technology, or consumer electronics.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and act tactically.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with many dependencies
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- A high degree of adaptability, resourcefulness, and comfort with ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment.
- Financial literacy; ability to build a financial model and keep budgets
- Experience working closely with product and engineering teams, optimizing operations and processes.
